The name “Lobitos” comes from the big presence of Sea Wolf, in Spanish called “Lobos Marino”.
A small Town where the sea is king!
What to do there:
Get some super fresh fish!
Eat delicious Mangos!
How to get here?
From Lima you can fly to Talara or to Piura, is approximately one hour and a half of flight.
Or you can take a bus, better a night one, that will take around 16-18 hours.
If you arrived in Piura you will need another 2 hour bus to get to Talara.
If you are coming from the north, take a bus from Mancora to Talara, around 1 hour and a half.
From Talara, that is the biggest town around Lobitos, get some grocery and take your last transport, a “colectivo” (a collective mini bus that holds around 10 people), to Lobitos. You will find the colectivo next to the EPPO bus station.
Ask the driver to drop you off where you have your accomodation!
